Hotel Libertador

Santiago de Chile is a city full of culture and life, with a rich and wide gastronomy that is worth discovering.

Hotel Libertador is located in the historical center of the city, just a few minutes away from the main monuments and areas of interest in Santiago.

Historical center

Our hotel is located in the heart of the historical centre, so the main attractions of the city are very close, such as the kilometre 0, located in the Plaza de Armas, around which are the most important administrative buildings in the country. From here, you can discover the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Casa Colorada or the Palacio de la Moneda, the residence of the President of the Republic.

Visiting Santiago implies that you should not miss the local art and culture: enjoy the National Museum of the History of Chile, the National Historical Museum, the National Museum of Fine Arts and the shows of the Municipal Theater.

Parks and green areas

The green areas and parks of the city of Santiago de Chile are perfect for enjoying nature and forgetting the worries of everyday life. The largest is Parque O'Higgins, where the Lollapalooza festival or Fiestas Patrias is held in September. It also houses the municipal swimming pool and the Fantasilandia park.

Another spectacular park in the city is the 737-hectare Parque Metropolitano de Santiago, one of the largest in Latin America. From its highest point, where the Cerro de San Cristóbal is located, you can see the Andes. To get there, you'll have to walk or take a cable car. It is home to the municipal zoo, the Santiago Japanese garden, the Chagual botanical garden and many other activities.

You should not leave Santiago without trying some of its most typical dishes, such as charquicán, which is prepared with beef and served with mashed potatoes; or machas a la parmesana, where seafood and cheese are skillfully mixed.

If you like stronger flavours, we recommend you try chorrillana, which has chips, meat, eggs and onions; a dish that will fill you with energy to discover the city.
These are just a few recommendations, you can't miss the empanadas, caldillos or ceviche either. You'll enjoy tasting them!
